After sustaining some damage to the top 9 meters of coral in the last El Nino event the Maldives is staring to make a comeback offering some of the world most visually stunning hard and soft corals.

 

Known as the soft coral capital of the world. There are corals here the size of trees covering the coasts. Huge varieties of fish and breathtaking colours make this a top dive location.

 

Tough eco-tourism laws here have ensured that the worlds second largest barrier reef has remained in pristine condition , offering a wide and diverse range of hard and soft corals and marine animals. The diving in Belize is world renowned.
